We’re a small, ethical, green funeral service supporting families and community around Hebden Bridge. We’re Funeral Director of the Year 2024, which is a national recognition from The Good Funeral Awards. Natural Endings is an independent company with over twenty-five years’ experience between us.
Funeral directors Lisa and Rosie offer a fresh approach to funerals. Instead of following rigid traditions we listen to what you need and help you create a farewell that is unique. Our mission is to look after you, the person that has died and the planet. We believe that when a funeral is done well it can be a transformational experience. We also provide same female-led care of your loved one at our dedicated facility in Todmorden.
The families that we support choose all kinds of funerals. You might want a funeral that is green, traditional or even something so simple that no one feels the need to attend (also know as direct cremations). We support you and can either put in place your ideas or offer suggestions for creating a funeral that reflects your loved one’s personality and unique life.
We’re one of the founding members of the Association of Green Funeral Directors (established in 2009) and are specialists in woodland burials and work closely with sites in this area. We also have a good knowledge of traditional local cemeteries in lovely rural locations.
We can also arrange attended and unattended cremations at Park Wood Crematorium, Oakworth Crematorium, Huddersfield Crematorium, Shay Grange Crematorium (Bradford) and beyond.
As well as arranging funerals in places of worship we have lots of experience of creating farewells in secular spaces. In Hebden Bridge there are lots of amazing spaces available including Wainsgate Chapel, The Birchcliffe Centre, The Town Hall and the Picture House. Sometimes being outside for a ceremony can be very special so we’ve arranged funerals in woodlands or even a family’s own garden. We also have a beautiful hall in Todmorden where the funeral ceremony can take place.
We understand that cost can be an important factor in arranging a funeral. Our pricing is clear and transparent. We can suggest ways of making a funeral more affordable. We also recommend comparing our prices to other local funeral directors.

We’re available 24 hours a day, seven days a week all year to support you if you need any support or information.
We provide a full funeral service including arranging and conducting the funeral.
We can provide a traditional or alternatively themed funeral, and are experts in environmentally friendly funerals and woodland burials.
We work with many different religious and non-religious funeral leaders. Alternatively, we can support you to lead the service yourselves.
We provide a large selection of coffins including traditional caskets, biodegradable eco-coffins, and decorative coffins.
Your choice of funeral transport including traditional black hearse and limousines, (black or white) horse drawn hearse, silver hearse and limousines, VW Beetle Hearse, motorbike hearses, vintage hearses, and even a vintage lorry.
We offer many different options but want to keep choices and costs easy to understand.

We consider our costs very reasonable compared to many other funeral directors. We are transparent about our pricing. A funeral is tailored to your needs so that you aren’t paying for a ‘package’ that has items that you don’t need in it. In order to make pricing understandable we show some ‘example funerals’ at the end of this downloadable price list.
As well as hosting funerals and memorials in our space in Todmorden we also host some therapeutic activities for bereaved people. We also host other creative activities like art exhibitions, talks and workshops.
Our hall is also for hire for trainings, rehearsals, quiet gatherings and community events.
We work with local charity Forus Tree (natural flood management) and donate towards local tree planting in order to offset the carbon foot print of each funeral that we arrange.
