    Remember me as I was

    when the time comes
when my mind and body fail
    and I become
someone not knowing who I am
don’t let me be shut away
    but remember the day
    when I flourished and laughed
    and loved you
    remember me sometimes
    but don’t feel sad
    I live on through you.
