Lyndsey Place
11th September 1966 to 17 September 2026

Lyndsey died peacefully after a short illness.

She was the much loved sister of Kevin, Karen, and Alison, cousin of June and Michelle, parrot mum to Bob, and a wonderful friend to so many.

Lyndsey was a much loved part of the The Cross Inn family plus the wider  Heptonstall community. She was well known as the friendliest and most no-nonsense door woman at The Golden Lion, Todmorden.

If you would like to be involved in decorating Lyndsey’s coffin come to The Golden Lion, side room, on Monday 12th October between 4.30pm and 7pm. Materials will be provided to write messages. You’re also welcome to bring photos to be added. There will also be an additional opportunity to add a message to Lyndsey’s coffin at the church during her funeral ceremony.

Her funeral and celebration of her life will be held at 3pm at Todmorden Unitarian Church on Wednesday 14th October.  Following Lyndsey’s farewell everyone is invited to The Golden Lion for food, drinks and tunes.

Lyndsey loved colour and was known for her unique style, so please dress colourfully.

A note about parking. There is no parking available at the Unitarian Church unless you are a blue badge holder. There is parking around the town and the church is a 10 minute walk from the train station. Please note the church drive is quite steep if you’re walking.
