The Meadow is a natural area within Southern Cemetery. Opened in 2014 there is plenty of space for it to expand.
If you enter the cemetery on Barlow Moor Rd and head forward at the roundabout go left. Head left traveling behind the West Chapel then bear right. It’s a small area within a hazel hedge close by is a stone that says ‘Meadow’.
The North Chapel can be used for a service/ceremony or you can choose a different venue in Manchester to have the service first.
Graves are marked with a number only. It is possible to have a plaque on a bench elsewhere in the cemetery.
Please note there is a different price for residents of Manchester and those not living in Manchester.
The hire of the chapel comes at an additional cost.
