Funeral photography

Funerals are too important not to be photographed. Consider hiring a funeral photographer to
capture the coming together of family and friends to share memories and look back on your
loved one’s life.

We work with two well-respected and experienced photographers/videographers:

Andy Wade

He has taken photographs of many funerals that we have arranged and we have found him to be sensitive and professional.

He is available across the areas we provide ethical funeral services for:
– Todmorden, West Yorkshire and 20 mile surrounding area
– South Manchester, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and South Lancashire

We would like to thank Andy for allowing us to use some of his imagery throughout this website.

Scott van der Zanden

Scott has recorded many funerals for families we’ve supported. Sound is recorded by DJI microphones so that there isn’t too much background noise. He also takes stills of the flower arrangements and any other meaningful details.

He’s available for Calderdale and Manchester based funerals.

Prices start from £225 in Todmorden.

Here is what Scott said himself:

Funerals are some of the most important days we ever gather for, and yet they can pass in a blur. I offer respectful, discreet funeral photography and videography that captures the moments, the words, the faces, and the quiet gestures that tell the story of a life well lived.

These recordings are not just documentation. They become something you can return to. A way to hear a voice again, to see the people who came, to remember the love in the room. In time, they often become a source of real comfort.

Before moving into professional photography and video work, I worked within the funeral profession myself. I understand the care, sensitivity, and dignity these moments deserve. I work calmly, unobtrusively, and always with deep respect for the family and the person being remembered.

This is not about spectacle. It is about preserving something precious, so that when you need it most, it is there.
