Geoff Wood
01 February 1952 – 12 September 2024
Geoff was a loving husband to Rosie, father to Lucy, brother to Richard, brother-in-law to Caroline and uncle to Alice. He was an inspired artist, community activist and proud Welshman.
Geoff’s funeral ceremony will be held at 14:30 on Monday the 14th October 2024 at Natural Endings, OL14 7AA.
Wear what you feel comfortable in, don’t feel the need to wear black.
Geoff’s coffin will already be present in the ceremony space when you arrive. This will be a quiet space until the ceremony begins.
During the ceremony there will be an optional chance for anyone to share a short memory or story about Geoff.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in Geoff’s memory are invited to Calder Community Cares or Digartref in Anglesey.
After the ceremony, Geoff’s family would like to you join them at the Community Centre HX7 5AF, in Mytholmroyd.
The Centre is a very close walking distance from Mytholmroyd train station and there is a direct trainline between Todmorden and Mytholmroyd.
At the wake there is an opportunity to write a message to Geoff’s family, if you wish. There will be blank cards available for you to write or draw on, or you can bring a pre-written message with you.
Parking at Natural Endings is limited and reserved for those with limited mobility. If you would like to reserve a parking space please call or email Natural Endings or speak to Rosie.
We are situated directly below the train station for those who are travelling by train. There is a direct connection with Manchester and Leeds.
There are a couple of small car parks around Todmorden where you pay a small fee. Please leave some extra time to find a space and to walk to the ceremony space.
