James Shackleton
20th July 1983 to 18th November 2025
James was a loved and loving partner, son, dad, brother, grandson, grandad and friend.
Though his life wasn’t long, he made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He was a welcoming host at The Duke of York Pub in the heart of Todmorden.
There are three parts to James’ farewell, everyone is welcome to all of them. From 11am on Wednesday 10th December James’ coffin will be at his home, The Duke of York Pub. You are welcome to come over and raise a glass to him and write a message on his coffin. James’ funeral will be held at 1.45pm on the same day at Burnley Crematorium. Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in; Manchester United shirts or a splash of red would be particularly appreciated (but no Liverpool please).
After the crematorium service we’ll gather again at the pub for drinks and more stories about James’ life.
