Margaret Williams

Margaret R Williams

5th August 1932 to 5th February 2025

Margaret was a loving and much loved family member, to her husband, Frank, sons Gerard and Alun, daughters-in-law, Danica and Claire and grandson, Finlay. She dearly loved her siblings, Jack, Roy and Maureen and all of their respective extended family members. She was much appreciated by all of her relatives, as well as many dear friends, neighbours and colleagues.

Margaret was a dedicated life long teacher, enriching the lives of generations of schoolchildren especially through her long association with Chorlton Park Primary School. She was a longtime member of the Karabiner Mountaineering Club and shared a passion for the outdoors with Frank, walking paths and mountain trails through Wales, the Lakes and Peak District as well as through many trips to the Dolomites and Alps.

She volunteered for Citizens Advice, was a yoga practitioner for many years and an avid birdwatcher and gardener especially in her allotment and garden. Above all she had a sensitive concern for others and will be missed by many.

Margaret’s funeral will be held at 3pm on Friday 28th February in the Old Chapel at Manchester Crematorium. Parking at the crematorium is limited, and attendees are advised that street parking is available in the residential area on the opposite side of Barlow Moor Road.

Family flowers only please. If you would like to make a donation in Margaret’s memory please make it to Guide Dogs for the Blind. There will be a donations box at the crematorium. Please do not feel that you should wear black.
