Moe Touil
17th March 1954 – 24th April 2025
Loved and loving husband of Jane, father of Leïla and Sam, grandad of Daphné, Vincent and Harriet.
Moe’s funeral will be held at 11:30am on Thursday the 8th of May 2025, at West Pennine Remembrance Park. It will be a short graveside ceremony. Camping chairs will be available for those who would find it easier to sit than stand. Help with transport is also available.
The funeral will be informal and relaxed. Please wear what you are comfortable in and don’t feel the need to wear black. Moe’s favourite colour is red.
Instead of bought flowers, Moe’s family invite you to bring a nature gift. This could be flowers or foliage from your garden or something you’ve found on a walk. Please only pick flowers that are not endangered or protected. There will be a moment in the ceremony where you are invited to place your nature gift on Moe’s coffin.
Donations in memory of Moe are invited to Springhill Hospice. A donations box will be present at the ceremony.
After the ceremony, you are warmly invited to share memories and stories of Moe at the Strawbury Duck Pub, Entwistle. The pub is located very close to West Pennine Remembrance Park and serves food.
Important practical information about West Pennine Remembrance Park:
Please note that there is no chapel at the burial site, so please bring an umbrella if it is a rainy day. Please wear appropriate footwear, as the burial site is sloped and grassy.
There are no toilets at the burial site.
Parking at West Pennine Remembrance Park is limited so please car share if you are able to. If you are able to walk downhill, please park in the top car park (where the bungalow is) or along the railway bridge. If you are going to the Strawbury Duck Pub afterwards you can park there too. There are a couple of parking spaces near the entrance to the burial site for anyone with limited mobility, but please note that the hearse will need enough space to turn around and park there.
