Peter Hazeldine

7th June 1945 – 13th June 2024

 

Much loved life partner of John and a dear friend and neighbour.

 

Peter grew up in Darwen, spent his youth in London, lived in Manchester and settled in Todmorden.

 

He was an active and valued member of the Gay Liberation Front from its founding in London in the early 1970s. He worked as a writer and a creative writing teacher.

 

Peter’s funeral will be held at 2pm on Monday 8th July at Natural Endings, Former Mail Sorting Office, Rise Lane, Todmorden, OL14 7AA. Please do not feel that you need to wear black, wear what you’re comfortable in. If you would like to make a donation in Peter’s memory please make it for Médecins Sans Frontières, a charity that provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from health care. There will be a donations box available. Please don’t bring flowers.

 

John would really like it if you were able to stay for refreshments after Peter’s ceremony. Please let him know if you can by phone, email or text.
