Description
Pandanus leaves are woven alongside rattan to create this striking bio-degradable coffin with rounded ends.
Pandanus coffins have an interesting two tone effect. Pandanus (wild pineapple) is an alternative to seagrass, when woven it is almost indistinguishable from seagrass.
Pandanus trees grow in tropical to subtropical climates and can vary from a medium shrub size to 20m tall trees, producing fruits which look similar to pineapples.
It is a prolific and fast growing plant which is easy to sustain. Almost all parts of the Pandanus plant have its uses.
Please note
- We do not provide the coffin with flowers – these are for illustrative purposes only.
- Suitable for traditional and woodland burial, and cremation.
- The coffin that you receive may not match the colour exactly of the coffin displayed on screen. Pandanus leaf is a natural material and the colour tone may vary from harvest to harvest. Also your computer monitor may have different colour settings to ours.
- All our coffins come with a bio-degradable waterproof lining and a second unbleached cosmetic cotton lining
