Blackley Cemetery has a woodland burial area. It’s situated at the highest point of the cemetery in amongst mature trees and with views of Heaton Park. Graves are marked just by a number and nothing is allowed to stay on the grave except flowers for a few days.
Chapels on site are available for the service at an additional cost.
Memorialisation available in the form of bird boxes and plaques situated near the site entrance.
